ACM Engineering Booth 234 A.C.M. Engineering is the benchmark in the market for cotton pads production machines since 1998. Cutting-edge technology, high-speed, reliability and 40 years’ experience in the cotton field make A.C.M. Engineering the standard for excellence in the cotton pads converting and packaging, offering complete, trouble-free, flexible, efficient, fast and reliable production lines in a wide range and with the lowest TCO. During the exhibition ITMA19, in Barcelona, A.C.M. Engineering has presented the last innovations for the complete range of fully automatic machines, like the troubleshoot system and Maintenance assistance step-by-step, but not only… ACM machine boost the most advanced system for the cotton pad cutting and feeding, which allows to work without any contamination for the cotton and to have smooth forwarding, in order to reduce at the minimum the risk of stretches and breakages of the cotton lap. In addition, the peculiar system for the bags closing and sealing, assure the best quality of the bags’ welding (because bags are kept continuously under tension), this means safer product and more quality for the customers and the end users. All the innovation of ACM are focused to the production needs, in order to be “user friendly”. The machine’s design is developed for simple and versatile use. One operator can easily control 2 mirrored machines thanks to the high ergonomics: ACM cotton pad machines are provided with Panel, bags warehouse, rolls loading and conveyor for bags exit (at table height) on the same side. Easy and quick access for the operator to each part of the machine during standard and extraordinary maintenance, combined with the remote assistance, assure the easiest diagnostic on the machine in order to keep the machine at the best condition throughout the entire lifecycle of your machine. www.acm-engineering.it Autefa Solutions Booth 1652 During IDEA 2019, Autefa Solutions will present ways to increase productivity as well as energy savings technology for spunlace production lines. Autefa Solutions’ high-speed Webforming sub-system, consisting of Injection card and Crosslapper CL4006 SL allows customers to keep or extend their leadership in the highly competitive spunlace market. The proven technology runs in several production lines all around and boost the speed and production in existing and new spunlace lines. The main challenge in such high speed lines is to keep fibers at any time and process stage under control. Autefa Solutions Injection card enables (Drylaid) web forming at very high production levels. The Injection Card uses a unique combination of mechanical and aerodynamic principle for a gentle carding action. The Injection Card delivers a quality web at the highest production with a better MD/CD ratio. With the Topliner CL4006 SL Autefa Solutions offers a crosslapper with special features for spunlace applications. Highest layering speeds and precise weight distribution are possible thanks to the integrated drafting unit, compensation belt, antistatic equipment and new designed transport aprons. These features are very important—especially for lightweight applications in spunlace lines—and ensures the infeed speed up to 130 m/min. With the V-Jet injector from Autefa Solutions water pressure can be reduced while maintaining same fabric strength. The energy cost saving potential using V-Jet technology is in the range of 20-30%. In addition, the water consumption is reduced by 10% when using the same nozzle diameter and pitch. Autefa Solutions Square Drum Dryer SQ-V combines the advantages of a horizontal dryer with the lower space requirement of a conventional drum dryer. The nozzle system uniformly distributes the airflow in terms of speed and temperature throughout the whole working width, providing best spunlace web and surface quality results. The Square Drum Dryer SQ-V has different heating zones and operates each heating zone with optimal drying conditions. Due to the small footprint the Square Drum Dryer SQ-V is a solution for energy optimizing of existing lines. www.autefa.com Barnhardt Manufacturing Booth 1320 Since early 1929, Barnhardt Manufacturing has led the market in manufacturing purified cotton. Leadership of this longevity requires a commitment to innovation, and responding to customer needs and market demands. New market applications demand new standards for the cleanest, most pure, purified cotton available, and Barnhardt has responded to these demands a proprietary set of processes referred to as EVOC, shorthand for Enhanced Visual Opening and Cleaning System. With this process, Barnhardt meticulously removes all of these foreign substances from every fiber in order to produce that clean, white, pure cotton fiber that consumers expect from their feminine care and baby care products. Nobody wants to open a packet of tampons or diapers—the products we use on the most sensitive parts of our bodies—and see anything less than pure, soft, whiter-than-white cotton. While prior technologies for cleaning and purification effectively answered yesterday’s challenges, the ever-higher standards of consumers demand new innovative solutions. With the advent of EVOC, Barnhardt now delivers the cleanest, purest cotton on the market today. Now, nonwoven manufacturers and product development teams have a choice: rather than resorting to plastic-derived synthetics, they can opt for a natural fiber product that consumers actually prefer, that’s also better for the environment. EVOC delivers the promise of cotton—for manufacturers, consumers, and the environment—for the most discerning applications of 100% cotton nonwovens, including very lightweight nonwovens purposed for hygiene products and wipes for personal and baby care. www.barnhardtcotton.net BASF Booth 778 BASF is a world leader in developing advanced innovations in chemistry and customer partnerships to elevate the performance of today’s materials and create dynamic nonwovens for the future.
